Linda Raines CEO
Mental Health Association of Maryland

Linda Raines

As CEO of the Mental Health Association of Maryland (MHAMD), the second oldest mental health advocacy group in the nation, Linda Raines has worked for decades to improve the systems, services and societal attitudes that define how people with mental health needs are treated.

In 2015, MHAMD launched BrainFutures, a nonprofit organization working to accelerate the adoption of new generation solutions resulting from advances in brain science. Following on two successful national conferences, BrainFutures has launched a policy agenda to tackle the barriers to rapid adoption of effective, neuroscience-informed innovations in care, so that the people of all ages have access to a wider range of options when challenged by a brain health concern, and greater opportunities to realize their hopes and dreams.
